Like the two trims that precede it in the BMW iX lineup, the BMW iX M70 xDrive® has all-wheel drive. The total system output for the top-of-the-line model is 650 horsepower in My Mode Sport or 811 horsepower if you engage Launch Control. The top model can reach 60 mph in a mere 3.6 seconds. 

Charging Times 

With an EPA-estimated ability to travel up to 340 miles between charges, depending on the trim you choose, the BMW iX is a practical choice for road warriors. The base and midlevel models can go from a 10 percent charge up to 80 percent capacity in just 34 minutes if you use a Level 3 charger. It takes roughly one additional minute for the top trim to do the same. 

Standard Equipment 

Technology features and active safety equipment are plentiful for the BMW iX. On the dashboard, you'll notice a 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen that works with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity. Wireless charging and over-the-air updates are also standard for the premium EV. 

Speed Limit Assist, Blind-Spot Monitor, and Steering Assist are among the SUV's laudable safety features. Those features all work at speeds up to 112 mph. The available Highway Assistant supports hands-free driving at speeds as high as 85 miles per hour.
