What Can I Do with the My BMW App?
The My BMW App has numerous features that keep you connected to your BMW vehicle. If you drive an electric vehicle (EV) or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), you can use your phone to see the current battery charge, check the available range, and set a route to compatible charging stations within that range. You can also use the My BMW app to do the following:
- Use the Remote 3D view to ensure no one is near your car.
- Make your car the perfect temperature by remotely accessing your climate control.
- Download software updates
- Use your phone as a key
- Pinpoint your car’s location.
Financial Features
Another feature is the ability to check past lease or loan statements. You can even make payments, receive reminders, and view payoff quotes. Features vary by model, so check to ensure it applies to your model.
How Do I Get the App?
Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play and download it for your phone. Once it has loaded, you can access it two ways. If you have used the My BMW website, BMW Connected App, or ConnectedDrive website, your vehicle will automatically appear upon logging into the My BMW App. You will not need to create a new login. New users should be near their vehicle when they log into the My BMW App, select “Add Vehicle,” and follow the instructions to complete the process.
