When you own a luxury car like a BMW, you want to keep it in the best condition possible. However, unless you never intend to take it out of your garage, this is pretty much impossible.
While certain types of wear and tear are best handled by professionals, cosmetic issues like dents and dings can typically be remedied at home. To help you fix small dents in your car, our BMW repair experts at BMW of Asheville are here to provide you with some dent repair tips.
Try a Plunger
A regular, ordinary toilet plunger may take care of pesky dings in your BMW. All you have to do is pour some water on the dent and push the plunger up and down. For small dents, this will often do the trick.
Boil Some Water
If the dent is on your bumper or another plastic part, you can try pouring boiling water over it. Then, reach behind the bumper and pop it out. If this works, the last step involves pouring cold water on the area to cool it.
Use a Vacuum Cleaner
If you have a small bucket that you no longer use, cut a small hole in the bottom. Then, put the top of the bucket over the dent and a vacuum tube over the small hole at the bottom. Turn the vacuum cleaner on to pop the dent out.
