It's also intended to improve aerodynamics. EfficientDynamics utilize a combination of technology and design innovations that include engine efficiency measures and lightweight construction. Finally, there is the BMW Active Assist, which utilizes the latest in autonomous technology. The system partially takes over and drives by itself, allowing you to temporarily take your hands off the wheel. The BMW Active Assist has been in the works for several years now, and a prototype was unveiled at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. A demonstration was shown unveiling the system's ability to automatically steer the car back into its lane if the driver fails to notice he or she is gradually moving into the other lane.
