BMW recently announced their plan to offer a loaner car program to BMW electric vehicle owners.
Consumer excitement regarding the BMW electric vehicle market is high, but that excitement does come without the fear of range anxiety. Until more electric charging stations are accessible, the ability of a BMW electric vehicle to be driven just as a gasoline-powered car would be driven is restricted. BMW hopes to eliminate this consumer concern with their BMW loaner car program. While the fine details have yet to be worked out, essentially owners of a BMW electric vehicle will have access to a gasoline-powered vehicle when needed.
