In continuation of last month's post, we decided to spend some more time talking about electric vehicles.  As is often the case, my mother is again the inspiration for this post, as well as the reason that we are posting another blog about electric vehicles, despite the fact that our BMW dealership is currently electric vehicle-less.  Let me explain.

I would consider my mother an average automobile consumer, much like many who visit our BMW dealer, BMW of Asheville.  She drives her BMW for many years; her motto being that paying for a luxury vehicle is worth it because it will drive for a very long time.  As her 12-year-old BMW sedan is nearing the 200,000-mile mark and still going strong, you cannot much argue with her rationale.

But, she is starting to consider replacing her vehicle, though doing so will no doubt cause her some anguish.  Nevertheless, she is very curious about electric vehicles.  Specifically, last week she asked me how the cost of driving an electric vehicle would compare to what she pays to drive her BMW now.  Therefore, we figured that other customers of our BMW dealership would have the same question - hence our post!

We have found a great resource regarding this and many other questions about driving electric vehicles.  You can check it out by clicking here.  In order to answer my mother's question exactly, we would need several specific details.  But, this website is a great way to get an idea of costs, so my mother (and you!) can start thinking about making the switch to an electric vehicle when they finally become available on our BMW dealer lot in Fletcher, NC.

Check out the website and, as always, visit our dealership with any questions!
