Most notably, consumers will see that BMW is focusing on manufacturing sustainable vehicles.
BMW is considering all aspects when designing and manufacturing their next series of vehicles. Of course the most obvious is manufacturing vehicles that run off of alternative energy sources. For now, the leading favorite is the electric engine.
But BMW engineers are also focusing their efforts on other methods of sustainability too. For example, the current lineup of BMW concept vehicles utilizes materials that are sustainably produced. Furthermore, the method for obtaining these materials is also considered. A great example is the fact that in the BMW i3, which is expected to be at dealer lots by the end of next year, consumers will find leather that is tanned through a sustainable process using olive leaf extract.
