Currently, BMW has five concept models that the company is displaying on their website. While not all five are likely to ever become vehicles for sale on our BMW dealership, some may, and most certainly many of their features and parts will be incorporated into a production model.
The leading contender for making it to the production stage is the BMW i3 Concept. The BMW i3 Concept is specifically built for urban driving. It runs entirely off of electric power and is emission-free. The top speed is around 62 miles per hour, and, thanks to its use of lightweight material, the BMW i3 promises to offer an impressively long range between charges.
As this vehicle is further developed and readied for the production stage, we will continue to bring you updates through our BMW of Asheville blog. As of now, the company is promising the arrival of the BMW i3 Concept to major urban areas by as early as next year. Of course, we have no way of predicting the date that the BMW i3 Concept could make it to our own BMW car dealer lot. Regardless, we will still anxiously await the BMW of the future.
