2017 BMW 4 Series Gets Facelift and New Optional Packages

The 2017 BMW 4 series retains the same sleek styling as the previous year's models. It has, however, received a few noticeable touch ups, not to mention a few M performance styling packs.

One of the more notable changes include new headlamp technology that makes use of hexagonal full-LED headlamps. This is the same headlamps already in use for the BMW 5 series. The headlamps extend towards the "nose" of the vehicle. Luxury and sport trims also include a redesigned front apron.

Buyers will also have the option to choose between four different alloy tire designs. The car also now has an additional two color options: Sunset Orange and Snapper Rocks Blue. The latter is a new shade of the existing turquoise color.

What about the interior? The cabin got a bit of renovating as well. There are now chrome trims for the audio controls and air conditioning unit. The main center console is adorned in a high-gloss black panel. Consumers also get their pick of three color options for the upholstery: Ivory White, Cognac, and Midnight Blue Leather.

For those interested, a number of M performance add-ons are now available. There is an interior carbon styling option, as well as an exterior carbon package complete with full carbon styling components.

The engine choices remain more or less the same, though the BMW 4 series Gran Coupe now has a new diesel engine option. This new engine is supposedly super fuel efficient, getting up to 69 mpg.
