2012 335i Convertible Details

A new 3.0-liter, single twin-scroll turbocharged, DOHC, inline-6 engine powers the 2012 335i Convertible.  This engine produces 300 hp at 5800 rpm and 300 lb-ft of torque at 1200-5000 rpm.  This vehicle's high-precision direct fuel-injection increases the car's power, torque, and fuel economy and improves emissions control.  The 2012 335i Convertible can reach 60 mph from a standstill in just 5.5 seconds.  This convertible has a fuel economy rating of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

The 2012 335i Convertible is a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a four-wheel independent suspension and a standard six-speed manual transmission.  A 6-Speed Steptronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters is available.  The automatic improves gear shifting, makes performance more responsive, and increases fuel economy by adjusting to your driving style.  The automatic has three modes: sport for livelier performance, drive to take advantage of Adaptive Transmission Control, and manual to allow the driver control of gear changes.

The 2012 335i Convertible earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's top rating of "Good" on its frontal-offset crash test.  The vehicle has many safety features including stability control, traction control, emergency braking assist, electronic brakeforce distribution, a 4-wheel antilock braking system, front fog lights, cornering lights, and a post-collision safety system.  Optional safety features include BMW Assist emergency communications and front and rear park distance control.
